Popular Mechanics Holds Invention Contest

Popular Mechanics magazine is holding a contest of inventions. To qualify, contestants must come up with a new device, mechanism or apparatus that that can be produced with a 3D printer, which is either useful, or is just plain fun.

The qualifying round runs from September 1 to October 23. The name of the contest winner will appear in the December issue of Popular Mechanics. More details can be found on the magazine’s website.

The online 3D print service CubicPrints and Russian 3D printer manufacturer Picaso 3D are sponsoring the contest.
