Popular Mechanics at Russian National Science Festival

Popular Mechanics magazine and the Croc company staged an interactive exhibition at the Russian National Science Festival held in Moscow on Oct. 12 to 14. Visitors to the magazine’s Expo Center stand could try things they had only read about before, like becoming the main character in a science fiction film with the help of a tabletop-sized tablet that “comes to life” at the touch of a hand.

Guests at the PM stand could also apply to participate in the Flying Robots contest and compete to win 1 million rubles from the Croc company.

Festival science projects were conducted throughout the year, but the most interesting and important events took place in mid-October. These included lectures by leading Russian and foreign scientists, a multimedia exposition, a science show, an intriguing robotics exhibition, a science film night, contests, seminars, workshops, excursions and much more. More than 350,000 people attended the Russian National Science Festival.
