The Rules of Life in Winter: What Entrepreneurs Dream of

The winter issue of The Rules of Life is devoted to business that, for the first time in several decades, finds itself in the conditions of a «perfect storm». Everything seems to be on hold: business owners have put everything on pause, waiting for signals of change from the financial sector, consumer demand, and investor sentiment. Still, life goes on. The magazine’s editors and writers journeyed across Russia, gathering stories from small and medium-sized businesses. Those accounts, along with the following items, add up to a single picture laid out in this issue:

  • a study of how the habits of Russian entrepreneurs have changed from the late 1980s to the present day;
  • a thriller about hype as the main engine of trade;
  • and much more.
