Vedomosti Assembled Captains of Business
A pre-party for the Vedomosti Cup corporate regatta was held in Moscow’s Ararat Park Hyatt hotel on Sept. 21.
Derk Sauer of Sanoma Independent Media welcomed guests by telling them the story of how the Vedomosti Cup regatta began. During the evening program, the teams got acquainted and went over the rules of the regatta and the details of the route. Vedomosti employees Gleb Prozorov and Alexander Gubsky, along with music critic Artemy Troitsky — all future regatta participants — shared their expectations of the upcoming race.
An exhibition of luxury watches by Panerai, the official timepiece partner for the event, and an exhibition of photographs by National Geographic Traveler editor-in-chief Alexander Zheleznyak added an artistic touch to the evening. The evening program ended with Artemy Troitsky raffling off a MasterCard Gold from Trust National Bank, gift certificates from the Berta company for a vacation at the fashionable Podmoskovya hotel and much more.
“The Masters of Business corporate regatta is fully consistent with the values of Vedomosti newspaper,” said regatta director and The Moscow Times publisher Ekaterina Son. “It will be a real competition under fluttering sails, a fair gamble with Lady Luck — the type of competition in which we would like to participate in the real world,” she said.
The first Captains of Business corporate regatta organized by Vedomosti business newspaper in cooperation with The Moscow Times will be held in the Aegean Sea on Oct. 1-7, 2011. Fifteen teams from leading Russian and international companies will take part.
Trust National Bank will serve as general partner to the race. Business FM radio will act as general radio partner, with Ocean TV — the first Russian-language television station focusing on the world’s oceans and seas — Expert TV and Amazing TV serving as television partners. The mainpeople.com, bfm.ru, e-xecutive.ru and finparty.ru portals will act as Internet partners.
