Esquire Holds Private Screening of Movie “Hostages”
On September 14, Esquire magazine brought together its business partners and friends at the Vremena Goda (Seasons) gallery for a private screening of the Rezo Gigineishvili film “Hostages.”
Esquire editor-in-chief Sergei Minaev and Gigineishvili gave a public talk at the screening. The director explained that the film was based on the true story of a plane hijacking in Tbilisi in 1983. The film was shown at the Berlin Film Festival and the Kinotavr Film Festival, where it won Best Director and Best Cinematography. Following the discussion, the film was screened at the Seasons Deluxe movie theater.
The Spettacolo restaurant created a special menu for the evening that included Italian snacks and drinks. Irakli Quiricadze, who plays one of the leading roles in the film, attended as a special guest of the event. A number of other celebrities also attended, including Alexei Markov, Serafima Nizovskaya, Maria Akhmetzyanova, Alyona Rudovskaya, Anastasia Ukolova, and others.
