News in Verse on Esquire.ru

Esquire magazine and the Serebryany Dozhd (Silver Rain) radio station are launching a new project: “News in verse on Esquire.ru.”

“News in verse on Esquire.ru” will air as part of the station’s Prime Time segment hosted by Nikita Nebylitsky that runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. On the program, Nebylitsky discusses major events, current trends and key topics ranging from politics to travel in a way that will interest every listener.  And now Nikita Nebylitsky will read news in quatrains on the Esquire.ru site.

The poems are generated automatically by a program written specifically for Esquire that draws material from headlines that appeared in the last 24 hours in leading Russian mass media, news agencies and news aggregators. New verses are posted on the Esquire site daily at 2 p.m. The posting on Mondays includes the top news that occurred over the weekend. Every headline included in the verses is used exactly as it was originally published. Users can click on any headline to read the full story behind it.
