Harper’s Bazaar at Biedermeier Exhibition

Harper’s Bazaar magazine is the informational partner to the exhibition “Biedermeier. 19th Century Austrian Art from the Collection of the Prince of Lichtenstein” that opened at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

For two months beginning on September 15, museum visitors will have an opportunity to view one of the world’s most significant private art collections – with Biedermeier works the most outstanding part. The Biedermeier era spans the brief period from 1815 to 1848 when Europe enjoyed stability in the middle of an otherwise difficult time in its history. The collection brings together works by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Peter Fendi, Friedrich Von Amerling, Friedrich Gauermann and Joseph Heger, as well as fully life-affirming and emotional fragments of nature and scenes from everyday life by Jacob and Rudolpf Von Alt.

The best collection of Viennese Biedermeier works leaves a warm impression of the “objects of sweet antiquity” of the princely house of Lichtenstein.

The Harper’s Bazaar logo appears on the outdoor ads and printed promotional materials, including tickets and brochures. An advertising roll-up of the publication will be placed in the exhibition hall. Guests attending the exhibition opening received complimentary copies of the magazine’s latest issue.
