Harper’s Bazaar Presents Fashion Performance by Alexander Vasilyev

Harper’s Bazaar and Martini present Fashion Performance on the theme “Vintage and Fashion” by Alexander Vasilyev on May 21 at the Casta Diva restaurant.

In his own original style – eternally interesting, sharp and refined – the world famous fashion historian, theatrical artist and passionate collector will speak on the meaning of vintage, his own collecting activities, preservation and restoration, how to combine contemporary and vintage objects, and the creation of his own vintage style of clothing. As an invaluable gift to true fashion hounds, he will present the addresses of flea markets, vintage stores and stalls around the world.

The evening’s guests will be captivated by the atmosphere of Martini Fizz – the elegant cocktail that comes to us from the catwalks of Milan that became the main trend of 2009.

The lecture will be accompanied by the showing of a film with unique shots from Vasilyev’s personal collection, and guests can evaluate the latest vintage menu from the Casta Diva chef, developed especially for the event.

Vivid illustrations complementing the lecture will be the exposition of famous covers from Harper’s Bazaar magazine – photos of models wearing clothes from the best collections, augmented by the best photographs of their time.
