Robb Report at Russian Rhapsody
Robb Report Russia magazine acted as the informational partner to the Russia Investment Roadshow (RIR) international business conference and Russian Rhapsody gala dinner. Both events were held in the United Arab Emirates from November 9 to 11.
The Russian Rhapsody gala dinner -- many quests of which were key speakers and participants of the Russia Investment Roadshow -- was held at the Emirates Palace situated on the shore of the Persian Gulf. The starlight shining down on the open terraces, the evening air filled with the aroma of the sea, the soft candlelight reflected in the spray of the fountain, the magnificent peacocks and firebirds in golden cages -- all combined to create an atmosphere of an entrancing Eastern fairytale.
The main themes of the working session of the Russia Investment Roadshow were attracting investment in Russia and prospects for Russian businesses to develop overseas. The Roadshow, conducted on November 10 and 11, included 13 plenary and theme-specific sessions with over 80 speakers, 650 delegates and 120 journalists from Russia, the Persian Gulf states, Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.
Every RIR delegate received a complimentary gift from Robb Report Russia -- its new project, the Book of Yachts. Participants in the event showed great interest in the publication, which within its covers includes information gathered on the latest and newest yachts in the world.
A friendly polo match was held in Dubai on November 10 at the close of the first working day of the Russia Investment Roadshow. The Habtoor Polo Club, led by the Habtoor brothers, welcomed the Moscow Polo Club under the leadership of Alexis Rodzyanko. Victory in the hard-fought contest went to the Habtoor team, with a final score of 11-7. Following the awards ceremony, guests attended an outdoor grill and picnic. Partners of the polo tournament included the Eventica and Mildberry companies, as well as Robb Report Russia magazine, the Moscow Polo Club and the Habtoor Polo Club.
The Russia Investment Roadshow in Dubai was the largest such event in history dedicated to Russian-Arab business relations, with the goals of developing close cooperation, mutually profitable trade and bilateral efforts to attract investment.
