For the last six months, Independent Media and the team at Yandex have been modernizing the media holding’s turbo web pages. The result: user coverage is up by 38%.
Turbo pages are lightweight versions of web pages that can be accessed from search results in the News, Zen and other services offered by Yandex. Users with low-speed connections require such pages to access Independent Media’s digital resources.
Independent Media and Yandex performed a comprehensive upgrade of the turbo data structure, improved the layout, updated the archive and optimized the advertising grid.
As a result, the coverage of turbo page users increased by 38% and content views were up 46% compared to five months earlier. The growth in consumption also sparked a growth in monetization.
