National Geographic Russia in July

The cover story of the July issue of National Geographic Russia is “Pluto: the Long-Awaited Rendezvous.” The mysterious dwarf planet might soon reveal its secrets as the New Horizons probe approaches it in mid-July.

Also in this issue:
Ebola: On the Trail of a Killer – The Ebola virus cycles between active and dormant. Scientists are trying to understand where it hides between outbreaks.

Dolphins: Born Free – Dolphins among the most intelligent creatures on the planet, but in captivity they not only lose their ability to think independently, but also their hunting skills.

The Putorana Plateau – The inaccessibility of the Putorana Plateau, walled off on both sides by 400-meter cliffs, makes it the least-known location on Earth and has helped it retain its pristine beauty.

The issue went on sale June 30. An iPad version is also available.
