2013 National Geographic Traveler Awards
Now readers have until September 30 to take part in the 2013 National Geographic Traveler Awards by casting their vote on the website for the best tourist destinations in each of the most popular vacation types. Winners will be selected in 13 different categories.
In the “Regions” group, readers can choose their favorite vacation spots in eight categories: Beach Vacation, Sightseeing Vacation, Ecotourism, Adventure Travel, Winter Holiday, Health Tourism, Russian Tourism and Vacation Find of the Year.
In the “Services” group, readers can vote for their favorite airline, hotel chain and Internet service. This year, National Geographic Traveler introduces two new categories: Best Travel Community and Best Cruise Company.
The voting process will not only determine the most popular vacation destinations, but also inspire both newcomers and seasoned travelers to undertake new journeys as well.
The results of the voting will be announced on and the winter issue of National Geographic Traveler will include a list of the best travel destinations of the year.
