National Geographic Russia Exhibition in Gorky Park

National Geographic Russia magazine, with support from Epson and the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, presents the outdoor photo exhibition “Land at World’s End.” The exhibition was staged at Gorky Park in Moscow.

National Geographic Russia chief photographer Andrei Kamenev authored the exhibition to acquaint viewers with Chukotka. People first settled in Chukotka tens of thousands of years ago and have been living out their amazing and little-known lives ever since. Of course, the “Land at World’s End” exhibition does not reveal all of the beauty and mystery of Chukotka: The most it can do is draw back the curtain slightly so that viewers can catch a glimpse of the hard-working and kind people who take great care of their environment despite the harsh conditions they face. Daily hunts, cold winds, vast valleys, needlework not for pleasure but for warmth, majestic mountains and impenetrable fog — all of this is Chukotka, a land at the world’s end.

The exhibition is open until June 19. Admission is free.
