Vedomosti on Your iPad

The Vedomosti daily business newspaper announces the launch of its iPad application.

The application launch is timed to coincide with the official start of iPad sales in Russia. Thanks to the Hublot company, partner to the newspaper, the application will be distributed free of charge through February 1, 2011. The iD East company developed the application for Vedomosti.

Now all iPad owners have access to the latest issue of the newspaper, round-the-clock news updates, stock quotes, Central Bank currency rates, metals, oil and real estate prices, photo galleries and much more.

According to Internet projects publisher Victor Saxon, “For Vedomosti newspaper to have a presence on the iPad is one more important step for the modern media that Vedomosti is taking for its readers. We are grateful to our readers for choosing Vedomosti newspaper as their constant source of quality business information, no matter what type of electronic device they use for receiving information.”

Users must select the “App Store” icon on their iPad to install the application. In the search field, they should type in “Vedomosti” and press “Search.” Users can install the application through iTunes using a computer by going first to the Vedomosti.ru site.
