National Geographic Magazine at Sheremetyevo

The opening of the exhibition “Sheremetyevo on Magazine Covers” was held on December 29, 2009 in Terminal 2 of the airport – one of the largest in Moscow. National Geographic Russia and National Geographic Traveler magazine prepared special covers dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary airport.

The exhibition was the culmination of a host of events timed to coincide with celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the airport in 2009. Sheremetyevo Airport has served as a gateway to the skies for millions of passengers over the years of its operation. It has played host to famous politicians, stars of the stage and screen and eminent cultural and public figures.

National Geographic Russia and National Geographic Traveler readers know that they can always buy their favorite magazines on newsstands in Sheremetyevo Airport. And from December 2009 to January 2010, they had an additional surprise – an exhibition at which they could see the legendary airport on the covers of National Geographic Russia and National Geographic Traveler.
