Sergei Guriyev’s “Economic Myths”

Alpine Business Books publishers has released a book by Sergei Guriyev entitled Economic Myths: Fallacies and Stereotypes Disseminated by the Media and Politicians. This is the second edition of the book with an additional chapter addressing the crisis.

In his book, Guriyev debunks the economic myths people believe due to uninformed statements made by politicians and journalists.

Sergei Guriyev is a Doctor of Science in Economics, rector of the New Economic School and president of the Center for Economic and Financial Research. Professor Guriyev regularly publishes scholarly work in leading international publications such as the American Economic Review and the Journal of Economic Perspectives. He is in no less demand by the Russian business press – Guriyev has been a regular contributor to Vedomosti newspaper and Forbes magazine for many years.
