National Geographic Russia at Water of Life Festival

The Fourth Moscow Water of Life Festival, sponsored by the Veld 21 company, was held from October 31 to November 1 at the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel. Participants included leading producers of elite alcoholic beverages from France, Scotland, Italy, Spain, the United States, Japan, Portugal, Chile and Ireland. National Geographic Russia acted as the event’s general informational sponsor.

During the two days of the festival, National Geographic manned a promotional area where visitors could become acquainted with the latest issues of National Geographic Russia and National Geographic Traveler, which ran an article on the 10 different types of alcohol production. Visitors could also have themselves photographed standing against an oversized mockup of the magazine’s cover. Magazine staff offered visitors complimentary cups of aromatic coffee brewed on coffeemakers produced by the famous Italian company, De Longhi, which partnered with National Geographic Russia for the event.

During the closing ceremony, magazine representatives took the stage and handed out a few six-month free National Geographic Russia subscriptions to festival participants and guests. This prompted a huge wave of excitement among the already cheerful audience members.
