Cosmopolitan Digital Party
Cosmopolitan magazine held a Cosmopolitan Digital Party in honor of the release of the September issue, created in partnership with the VKontakte social network. The event took place on August 15 at the restaurant Na Volne by Soho Rooms and brought together members of Moscow’s high society and Russia’s most influential bloggers – who are featured in this digital-themed issue.
The guests were greeted by Pyatnitsa (Friday) TV channel hosts Volodymyr Dantes and Dilya Dolinskaya who assailed the celebrities and influencers with a barrage of tricky questions.
The bloggers first set the tone of the party. Then the official portion of the program began with musical performances by Ida Galich, Nastasya Samburskaya, Natalia Rudova, and Maria Minogarovaya. Next, Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Aliona Peneva and VKontakte Partner Relations Director Konstantin Sidorkov addressed the guests. They explained that the jointly-produced digital issue was both unique and important for the two leading media brands and showed how the VKontakte app is transforming the print publication. Guests also viewed a five-minute video on the production of the joint issue and the individuals profiled in it.
The party continued with a talk by blogger Mariana Ro with rapper Face accompanying. Next, Matrang and Serebro performed their hottest hits and Vitaly Kozak treated everyone to a DJ dance set.
Between dances, guests enjoyed taking photos on the veranda with the panorama of nighttime Moscow in the background, and in two striking photo zones decorated in the style of the event’s dress code – pink with neon flamingos and silver in shades of the September cover of Cosmopolitan.
The VKontakte social network - that partnered both the September issue and the party – gave everyone a glimpse of the future. Women posing as “mediums” invited guests to pull out a card with a “magic” QR code and to follow the link to a page with a humorous fortune.
Each guest received complimentary sweets – a set of pastries with edible Cosmopolitan and VKontakte stickers that the Macaronika confectioners prepared specially for the event.
Guests of the party included Halber, Daria Klyukina, Daria Veledeeva, Dana Sokolova, Vasiliy Akkerman, Serebro, Alexander Khomenko and Natalie Yaschuk, Artik, Yulia Parshuta, Karina Nigay, “Frendy” (Friends), Mband, Artyom Mikhalkov, Yasmina Muratovich, Yulia Akhmedova, Anastasia Denisova, Anton Lavrentyev, Anastasia Smirnova, Viktoria Korotkova, Andrey Zakharov, Daria Kostromitina, Dusya Bubel, Sam Polyvyanny, Nat, Rinal Mukhametov and Suzanna Akezheva, Lilia Abramova, Snezhina Kulova, Eva, Anastasiya Zadorozhnaya and many others.
