Popular Mechanics at RoboFest

Popular Mechanics magazine was a media partner to the Ninth Russian National Robotics Festival, better known as RoboFest, held on March 15-17.

Popular Mechanics set up a visitor’s zone at the event for visitors to build their own robot and compete against others for a free subscription to the magazine. As a media partner, the Popular Mechanics logo appeared on all advertising materials for the event. PM also awarded valuable prizes to the winners of the main competition.

This year, a record 5,000 school and college students from 65 regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan took part. The winners will represent Russia at the international robotics championships in the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia. A record number of guests – more than 20,000 – visited the event over its three days.
