Sports Festival in Cosmopolitan Style

Cosmopolitan magazine, together with the Yakhonty Nature Resort and the Alex Fitness chain of fitness centers held an outdoor Cosmo Fitness Day on July 28.

Alex Fitness organized an interactive zone that included dance workshops, water polo, aqua aerobics, yoga, beach volleyball and other fun activities. Fans of extreme sports could try wake riding and take part in a wake masquerade.

Before indulging in the day’s active pursuits, guests could have special makeup applied at a beauty zone provided by Bobby Brown, and then see for themselves how it held throughout the ensuing sporting events. Alex Fitness and Chertok Project also conducted an exciting Go-go workshop for all ladies eager to show off their moves on the dance floor.

The men also had plenty to keep them interested. Test-driving a Lexus provided by Lexus Izmailovo around the picturesque territory of the Yakhonty Resort, playing soccer and trying their hand at shuffleboard were all quite popular among the male guests. Parents with children enjoyed a special zone where the most popular attraction was a bubble show provided by event partner Fancy Bubbles.

Anna Milyayeva, a Cosmopolitan Academy expert and specialist in preparing the Olympic team and Miss Sport 2012, conducted a unique workshop at which she revealed the secret of how to remain feminine, dazzling and energetic in any situation — in short, how to be a Cosmo style young woman.

Guests could shift to a quieter mode at the Nia yoga relaxation zone where special breathing exercises helped participants shed all of their stress. In a corner of the same zone, French brand Yves Rocher provided all comers with a skin diagnostic and the chance to try special hand care products. 

An athletic and festive atmosphere reigned, with all the guests playing badminton and volleyball, taking part in the interactive zone, sunbathing and, of course, reading Cosmopolitan. Nobody was bored or left on the sidelines — the Mosigra company conducted a variety of games that got even the most skeptical guests caught up in the fun. In addition, the Smile Theater acting school used amusing techniques to teach participants the modern method of emotional self-expression.

Throughout the day, the most active participants at the event received Cosmo tokens that they could exchange at the gift counter for valuable prizes from Cosmopolitan, Alex Fitness, the Yakhonty Resort, Bobby Brown, Adidas, the Tvoye store, Yves Rocher and the Mosigra company. The evening program featured a performance by the Alex Fitness team led by Ksenia Usanova and Yulia Alexankina as well as a drawing for valuable prizes. The highlight of the program was an electrifying performance by the disco-funk group DASviDOS. The festivities ended with a gala release of numerous pink Cosmopolitan balloons.
