Cosmopolitan Runaway Brides

A large-scale flash mob of Cosmopolitan runaway brides opened a festival held on May 26 at the Hermitage garden in Moscow.

This year’s event brought together 100 brides and 10,000 visitors. Everyone was welcome to visit a psychic’s pavilion, attend workshops on garter making conducted by Die_blonde designer Nadi Krugavaya and on creating handmade accessories organized by the Yakhonty nature resort, get photographed next to a floral cake provided by Wedding magazine and, of course, enjoy the concert by Love Radio. Visitors were also treated to performances by the Band’eros group, Victoria Dayneko, Timur Rodriguez and the groups Wordplay and 5sta Family – with Love Radio DJs Maxim Privalov and Olga Mazhara providing their own musical accompaniment for the evening.

Among the runaway brides on that day was Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Alya Badanina.

After the traditional throwing of their bouquets, the 100 brides at the Hermitage garden climbed into six enormous limousines for a ride around the capital that ended at the Hard Rock Cafe in Moscow for dancing until dawn.
