Donor Day at Sanoma Independent Media

Sanoma Independent Media held its first Donor Day in cooperation with the Donor – Children group and the FMBA blood service on May 14.

It is a well-known fact that Russia’s blood banks suffer from shortages. Blood is most needed in big cities where large hospitals treat patients from throughout the region. Not a single artificial substance can substitute for the vital components found in human blood.

Every potential donor had an opportunity to learn about the importance of donating blood and how to prepare for it beforehand. As a result, 30 people gave blood during the event.

Now, hospitalized children have a better chance of recovering from their illnesses thanks to the caring attitude shown by SIM employees. By popular demand, Donor Day will become an annual event.
