The Moscow Times Launches Anniversary Column

The Moscow Times, Russia’s only daily English-language business newspaper, turns 20 this year. As part of the anniversary celebration, the publication has launched a promotional website: www.20th.themoscowtimes.com.

The anniversary project includes a daily column titled "Today in History," featuring the most interesting articles from the newspaper’s archives over the past 20 years. Do you remember that Moscow did not have a single supermarket 19 years ago, or that 17 years ago, Channel One did not exist and a ride on the metro cost only 2.5 rubles? Readers will find these and many more interesting facts on the anniversary promo site.

The site also includes a calendar of events and projects planned for the 20th anniversary and a special column titled "20 years in business. Highlights from the Industry," presenting the most outstanding, significant and at times dramatic events in the main sectors of the economy.

Visitors can also find information on the "Moscow. Times." photo exhibition and photo album, congratulations from the newspaper’s friends and business partners and much more.
