Vedomosti Wins "Newspaper Design"

The newspaper Vedomosti won the all-Russian "Newspaper Design 2007" contest. The publication won first prize in the nominations "Best Newspaper Design" and "Re-Design", the third prize in the "Head Page" nomination and a special prize in the "Infographics" nomination.

The jury of the contest included leading Russian and international experts in newspaper design:

Mark Potter, creative director of Guardian, UK;
Soren Nieland, art director of Politiken, Denmark;
Anatoly Gusev, art director of publishing house Kommersant, Russia;
Andrey Politikanov, director of photo services of the magazine Reporter;
Tagir Safaev, fonts designer, Russia;
Fedor Shumilov, ex infographics editor of the newspaper Business Petersburg, consultant, Russia;
Dmitry Surnin, co-chairman of the contest organizational committee, Russia.
