Vedomosti is a unique project that is the result of two of the world’s leading business newspapers – the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal – joining forces back in 1999. Now under private Russian ownership, Vedomosti will continue to use materials from both its parent publications as a part of their global syndicate.
The newspaper’s mission is to provide members of the business community with timely, objective, high-quality and useful information they need to make decisions.
As their primary objective, Vedomosti newspaper and the Vedomosti.ru website set out to provide readers with the most up-to-date, detailed and objective information. More than 100 journalists work towards that end, providing readers coverage of the most significant economic, financial, corporate and political events, as well as analyses and forecasts of local and global business trends.
