Popular Mechanics in May

The May issue of Popular Mechanics magazine features the article “The Round Bug," about an Indonesian sculptor who kneads and squeezes cars as if they were made from putty.

Also in this issue: a concept for the world’s biggest heavy-lifting cargo aircraft, top-of-the-line watches made from the most modern materials, a device for simulating flavors, the latest Russian rocket for the Tornado-S salvo fire system, a test drive of a catapult, and the innovations that make soccer fairer and more interesting.

The issue went on sale May 18.
