Fotoimedia: Results of 2014

Sanoma Independent Media’s (SIM) Fotoimedia image bank continues to thrive, with 2014 having been the most successful year for the photo agency.

The project made a major leap forward in the past year by improving its services, adopting a new and appealing design and adding new external image sources. As a result of the agency’s expanded cooperation with photographers and partner agencies, the Fotoimedia collection has grown to 10 million images across a broader array of subjects.

The www.fotoimedia.ru website now includes the unique photographic collection that has been assembled by Italian publisher Arnoldo Mondadori Editore over its 100-year existence, as well as striking collections such as Westend61, FoodCollection, NHPA, AGF and IngImages. Another achievement was the inclusion of the British microstock agency Ingram and the launch of subscription sales of stock images. This resource offers 3.5 million outstanding stock photographs covering a variety of subjects and genres at below-market prices.

The Fotoimedia photo agency put its own SIM archive on the international market in 2014, successfully selling the collection in Italy, Germany, China and Korea. In 2015, the agency plans to add to its distribution partners in European and Asian countries.
